2026 is all but done.
I know we have a couple ‘27 recruits already committed.
Who are the top 5 “must gets”?
Or
The national recruit we go all in for like we did with Cantwell? It would be pretty sweet to make it a habit to get at least one super high rated OL every year

Because we’re getting screwed over against a team we literally beat and have the same record as but they’re a bigger brand. **** the committee and anyone who goes along with it
 
@DMoney after you get a break after the season, any chance you could do a pod or writeup on the 2027 names to know? A lot of us just aren't plugged into HS ball, so it always takes a while getting to know the new names.
 
I'd really like to get Lennear on board and go from there.

Haven't taken a close enough look at Mark Matthews to know if he's as legit as his ranking. But from what I've seen so far he's another I hope lock down early.

All things aren’t equal. We were the only non SEC or Big 10 team in top 10 outside of ND. The best kids don’t want to play in this trash conference. If all things are indeed equal with a recruit, they will pick SEC 75% off time. This is the glaring point that Pete failed to mention on the podcast today. Unless we double up the money we aren’t getting top 5 classes.
 
I'd guess
QB - Neiman Lawrence
RB - A local guy and 1 national guy
WR - Nick Lennear . Ah'Mari Stevens already committed. Add another 1 or 2 National recruit for a 6'1"+ Type. Ideally Monshun Sales.
TE - No idea
OL - Mark Mathews (top OT recruit and from StThomas) , Sean Tatum , and Zaquon Linton already committed. probably want to add someone like Reed Ramsier, ... Prob 4 total

EDGE - 1 top 50 EDGE recruit (DJ Jacobs and Chris Witehead at top). And Demarcus Deroche already committed. Santana harvey. Need 3 min, but prob 4 imo
DT - Jamar Thompson, hopefully a top 100 recruit (George Toia), and then 1 more
LB - Kaden Henderson hopefully. Maybe flip Amarri Irvin from ND
CB - Amare Nugent, and like 2 more.
S - Jaylyn Jones already committed. Need another top Safety recruit.
 
To guess who we will be targeting to fill out the 2027 class is purely an exercise in fantasy.

Outside of guys committed plus probably locals like Lennear, Matthews, and Thompson.

Our board will be mostly national and names will come out of nowhere during the spring evaluation and senior film.

But mock classes are fun lol.
