I have absolutely no faith in Anderson, Brewer, JD or Laz in evaluating potential transfer portal players. Last year was a disaster when it came to aquiring new talent, with the exception of Sosa.
The next 2-3 weeks we need at least twelve players with 6-7 being pitchers.

I will give Anderson a pass, we have a really good freshman class this year. Alvarez, Dubovik, Milano look to be stables in our lineup the next two years. Santos-Olson and Durso.look to be pretty good bullpen arms.

New HC is #1 need change for 2027

But, this dude entered the portal with the most video game stats I’ve ever seen. Please add him.

I had a friend who has faced him multiple times in the SAC, always mentioned his name as the best player he's played against.

He was drafted in the fourth round out of high school in 2020 before some off the field issues derailed his career and NCAA rules didn't let him return to D1. If he's eligbile he's the best player in the country

I think some, if not most of these guys are gonna hit the portal. I really hope JD doesn't get another year by using the injury excuse. Cuvet, Galvin, one of the portal arms, etc...

The roster needs a complete overhaul. Bigger bodies with better arms in the pen. If you're going to throw 89-91 AND miss the zone we have no use for you. Regardless, 89-91 doesn't play anymore at this level. We had the right body types offensively just need a better approach. Any thoughts on Salty being the next HC? I wonder if he would be hungry enough to recruit, develop, and coach full time.

I think Cuvet’s back is going to make him drop. I think that opens up a possibility he returns.

I would try Milano at 1st, move Sheehan to 2nd, Alvarez catches if Sosa leaves, Dubovich gets a OF spot, and I think Peralta becomes your 4th OF imo.

C:Alvarez
1st: Milano
2nd: Sheehan
SS: NA/Rook Shepard?
3rd: N/A
OF: Dubovich
CF: NA/peralta?
RF: NA/Peralta?

The bullpen should be better just by getting healthy and adding to it. Rotation needs a legit SP with Evans leaving.

Sheehan is not nearly good enough to stall young players development, I would have much rather watched Watkins develop this year than watch Sheehan. Seems like a great young man with an even better story but he is simply not a middle infielder at a p4 program like miami

exactly.. if we can't replace him, then what are we even doing....

What are the odds we think JD gets fired, if we have a bad postseason? I’m leaning that we don’t fire him no matter what just because we are ADless. If JD wasn’t a Miami guy then maybe Prez Ech would personally pull the trigger.

0.00% he’s getting one more. Our only hope is crash and burn starting Wednesday for the next 12 months.

Probably right, but if we go 0 - 2 or 1 - 2, I think there's a chance President Joe E makes a change.

He loves this U and its tradition, not any one coach or legacy guy. I think the Jai Lucas hiring sent a great signal that winning and an absolute commitment to it, are the new guiding principles under this president. He didn't get to where he is leading large organizations by favoring loyalty over performance/results.

Lost to MLB Draft (TBD)
Finished the rolling roster. Didn’t double check for draft eligible sophomores yet. Players with an asterisk are ones I’m assuming we lose to the draft.
