2027 RHP Isaac Vidal commits to Miami

Hitting isn’t everything for a catcher as receiving & handling pitchers are the most important thing, but he’s a decent hitter but not much pop, especially since they play on a small field. 0 homers. But a lot of good pitchers have gone through True North.

Rankings aren’t everything but one service does not rate him as a top 10 catcher in Florida but they have Boyer there.

I am going to reach out to some people that really know catching and get their opinion.

I’ve seen 3-8. Aside from Boyer, total studs.

I don't give this list any weight because how can they leave off Jacob Reyes? He's the best catcher in the whole state regardless of grade

That’s why I said I don’t put all stock on rankings.

Reyes is good. His offensive stats are similar to Alexander except for the HRs - 0 for Alexander. I believe he is #1 for his class with the Varela kid, Evan Ferreira, being #2 in FL for 2029. The Franklin Scout team he plays for is full of studs.

Chuck Lyman has always had some very good catchers. He coached my son in 12U.

Robert Kramer, who is at Indian River was his catcher before and he’s solid. Should be going D1 next year when he’s done there.
