2027 RB Ty Keys commits to Miami

We don't clash much with RB's when they're prospects

It's how these RB's perform once they start playing at Miami where me & D$ disagree
Ok. I’m ready for you to rough him up whenever you are.

Pulling an RB out of the Wing T offense is all projection honestly.

They don't run a zone scheme, they don't pass pro. So its an uphill battle.

They're usually very physical runners and hard runners and keep their legs going, but they'll need time to learn to be patient runners and be able to do pass blocking in general.

I wouldn't expect him to be on the field for the first year or two.
He'll likley be a **** of a ST player though!

THE DIFFERENCE IS.....

This kid is a legit receiving threat...as he was a wr. His camp work at wr shows he is a power 5 wr...which differs from wing t backs. Hes not gonna be on the field to pass pro..he will be on to be a match up problems for lbs.

Hmm interesting.

I guess their HS HC decide, to throw the fastest kid at Tail and let him run, sounds about right.

Right, so a third down receiving back, surprised they're going for that type of player.
Doesn't fit their usual mold, but its nice to change it up, also allows you, if your playing from behind, to use that throw it more and have the RB as a passing threat.

I'm going to go on a whim and say a guy who ran for 3000+ yards at 11 yards a clip and 45 touchdowns is more than a third down receiving back.

His clips are all power/counter.

yea i dont think u watch the film...the kid is like 6'1 190 right now. He isnt listed down to be a 3rd down receiving back. lol

Kid is going to fill out above 200 as a freshman rb here. They didnt even wait a week for him to commit after missing on the top rb....shows how much they valued his talent

he runs like a WR to me.

Ya I think some of that is his build? But he is reportedly up to 200 now? Previously listed at 175 and 185. I think he ends up, not a fletcher type obviously, but a big back carrying 210 or so
He looks like he has WR movement and frame. I expect the same 205 210 in a couple of years. If he maintains the same traits while putting on extra weight he will do well behind our OL’s.

he's getting redshirted first year. He knows this. the plan was him and MCJ. MCJ plays as true fresh, keys redshirts.
also, keys had a bad injury sophomore year, he was still recovering last year and put up crazy numbers. our plan was to take both, he wasn't the plan b.
