2027 Race to 300

When Amir Sears inevitably ends up as a top 5 recruit, that will significantly boost our class rating. Nick Lennear should rise as well, he consistently dominates. Jayvon Dawson should significantly rise.

The rest of the class should either rise or stay about the same. Our evaluation is always on point so I expect our kids to ball at a level higher than their rankings for the most part.

That by itself could get us significantly higher. Our commits probably won't rise as much as they should, but theres some you can't even deny.

If sears has another special night vs STA there is no debate he should be #1.
I agree that Sears will end up top 5 if he continues to play at this level but that won’t significantly boost our class rank seeing as he is currently at 11. Also, I don’t see Nick moving up from where he already is. He is already at 12 and while he is a beast that maybe high for him, although I’m not complaining.

In addition to the commonly mentioned names: DJ Jacobs, Jaxon Dollar, Myson Johnson-Cook; and the long-shots: Mark Matthews + David Folorunsho; I hope we try to kick Clemson while they are down like we did last year pursuing Blake Stewart, Dre Quinn and Keshawn Stancil for flips.

If we don’t flip Jarrell Chandler, Tennessee will. We could use a third linebacker this cycle. Seth Tillman, DT outta South Carolina, is the other guy from Clemson’s class i’d like to bring into the fold.

If Hayden Lowe were still on the team, flipping DJ Jacobs wouldn’t be as important as it is now imo. Lightfoot and Blount look really good which leaves us vulnerable to losing all 3 of our best edge rushers after this year. There is a major playing time argument we can sell when you add Lowe’s departure into the equation.

QB and WR we are good. OLine i believe we good too even though i doubt they will stop recruiting Matthews. RB is less important to get a second back, but Auburn looks awful & we should exploit that with MJC. Need a cocaine bear DT and another kangaroo jack pass rusher. Marquis Evans is a good fallback flip option if we can’t flip a blue-chip DT. The UCLA commit at Westminster is also a good flip candidate.

I think we need a third LB. Cornerback we are set. Safety we are set, staff deliberate bringing in two guys after a two-man class last year (Redding and Dunningham) with plenty of returning talent improving (Dylan Day, Ryan Mack, Fitz and tbd status of Poyser + Thorton). I suspect our ‘28 class could have up to 3 safeties.

Getting Jaxon Dollar would be a game-changing signing given what we have on campus already.
