2027 Portal QB discussion

“Kamario Taylor is the best QB I’ve seen in college football in a few years,” said a Big Ten coach this week. “His film is absurd. His arm talent is close to the freakiest I’ve seen from a college kid. It’s Joe Milton but with accuracy and shot selection. He’s impressively mobile for being 6-4, 230. He’s got field vision. He operates from a muddy pocket often and with lots of success.

“He’s gonna look awesome in a (Miami) Hurricanes uniform next year.”

That dude is getting so much hype. Almost as much as nico iamaleava.
We saw how that ended up.
Let’s see how he does against SEC competition.

This is a terribly ill informed post. Nico received hype based on star rating in high school.

Unlike Nico he was actually good last year and even better this year. He popped off the film as a FR. Dude is an absolute stud. America and the casuals are just finding out about him but he’s been that guy since he took his first snap.

He still does some over throws and is not accurate as some say he is.

Point is I want to see him play against better competition before I make a complete judgement.

I do like him better than Nico but that is not saying much.

The only question with KT was if we has gonna put it altogether. Guy has all the talent in the world, like 1st pick of the draft talent.

I think if you are a QB you are praying for Cardinals to be with LaFleur end up with 1. Imo this is best spot for Mensah.

Jets could maybe depend on if/who they hire as HC next. They have a very good OLine now and a lot of young weapons and draft capital. If they get a top offensive minded HC….maybe. Not AS SAD of a history. And at least in NY.

Dolphins? Eh not as sad as going to the Browns, but theyre still stripping everything down. Min like 2 more yrs just for the rebuild.

Cardinals, Vikings and maybe Panthers are the spots I’d want Mensah to go to.

Early returns look great, but gotta see it against actual comp. Plus he’s a born and bred Mississippi dude. Idk if he’s transfer but he is projectable

Like Steve McNair from tiny Mount Olive, Mississippi going to Alcorn State because his brother Fred played there. Steve would've been an All-American QB or DB in the SEC, but he wasn't ever going anywhere else.

Taylor's uncle, Omar Conner, was a helluva high school QB and played at Mississippi State. Omar's high school teammate is coaching Mississippi State's defensive ends. Taylor's mom and them stay 30 minutes down the road from Starkville.

If MSU has to sell the school library to afford to pay him for next season, they're gonna do it.
