2027 now 2026 TE Mark Bowman

I’m a realist, im not being critical for the **** of it

I was talking about these issues all last season while it was happening

It you think the most talented offensive option having the LEAST amount of catches per game out of all the TEs drafted this year outside of 3 blocking TEs is moping, then you should get help
Judging it solely off catches is retarded lol. He was a big play weapon for us. We didn't Need him to be a short yardage guy. We had Restrepo and Horton doing that role. It's quite simple. If you weren't being so aggressively negative about it and acting like it was a complete failure by the staff not to utilize him more - in a season we had BY FAR the best offense in the country, maybe I wouldn't be responding. But honestly you're acting like because he didn't get more catches our coaches are dumb and failed the team... And the most absurd thing is you saying had we gotten Arroyo the ball more THAT would have been the difference in us not losing those games. Genuinely dumb as **** statements basically. You know what is FAR easier of a statement to make? If our defense was average to good we win those games. lol. If we didn't have turnovers at inopportune times, we could win those games...

And not only was Arroyo a big play weapon for us, Where did the rests of that groups offenses rank in terms of Actual Offensive output? Did any have 1k yard WRs like we did? We had 2 Upperclassman returning Starting WRs, and then a younger talented WR that stepped up, and got a top RB and WR in the Portal lol. Like what the **** more can you expect out of Dawson, it's just insanity at this point. Arroyo was literally our 3rd Best Receiver this season. Just looking at Receptions is entirely irrelevant lol. He was 4th in yards - only 26 behind Horton on 21 less catches lol. So And obviously Restrepo was our top WR option and was a ******* 1st team All-American. Like again Restrepo was the main target, as he should have been. Horton was more of the "slant boy" utilization. But like You're basically *****ing that George or Brown had too many targets... Meanwhile Jacolby George Averaged 55 catches, 808 yards, and 8 TDs his final 2 years lol. Like are we supposed to act like thats not pretty great output?

You're literally complaining that our offense was A++ instead of A+++. Just straight dumb. And it's not dumb because you're pointing out how it could have been better. I could do the same when I talk about Fletcher and how we used the RBs, and our Oline splits and stuff. But the part that is absurd is how you make it so negative. It's like you can't admit we had an elite offense last year because it'd be giving our Coaches credit, and you don't want to do that.

Good luck on the recruiting trail when recruits see your 2nd round pick averaged the least amount per catches per game of all the drafted TEs when your UDFA wide receivers got the bulk of the catches and telling the recruits you will be a major part of the system, week in and week out.

When the top recruits look at Arroyo stat line and wonder why a measly 2 catch for 24 yards vs FSU, or 0 catches against Louisville and he wasn’t a focal point of the offense being the most talented player. Going 8 straight games with 3 or less catches is a joke while having the #1 offense in the country

Recruits don’t want to be lied to.

I hope Shannon Dawson fixes it going forward if we want to land the best TE recruits. They want to be fed the ball

I mean lets look at our TE history:
Will Mallory: 42 Catches, 538 Yards, 3 TDs ... Was 1st best WR ... 34.4 : 34.4 Pass:Rush /Play
Brevin Jordan: 38 Catches, 576 Yards, 7 TDs ... Was 2nd best WR ... 34.6 : 38.1 Pass:Rush /Play
Chris Herndon: 40 Catches, 477 Yards, 4 TDs ... Was 3rd best WR ... 32.8 : 31.8 Pass:Rush /Play
David Njoku: 43 Catches, 698 Yards, 8 TDs ... Was 3rd best WR ... 32.8 : 33.5 Pass:Rush /Play
Clive Walford: 44 Catches, 676 Yards, 7 TDs ... Was 2nd Best WR ... 30.1 :34.3 Pass:Rush /Play
Greg Olsen: 40 Catches, 489 Yards, 1 TD ... Was 2nd/3rd Best WR ...27.7 : 33.2 Pass:rush /Play
Kellen Winslow JR: 60 Catches, 605 Yards, 1 TD ... Was 2nd Best WR (though previous year was better) ...31.5 : 39.0 Pass:Rush /Play
Jeremy Shockey: 40 Catches, 519 Yards, 7 TDs ... Was 2nd Best WR ... 30.9 : 38.4 Pass:Rush /Play

Average of Above: 43 Catches, 572 Yards, 5 TDs ... 31.85 : 35.33 Pass:Rush /Play = 47% Pass
Elijah Arroyo: 35 Catches, 590 Yards, 7 TDs ... 37.6 : 33.3 Pass:Rush /Play = 53.0% Pass.

You're LITERALLY Complaining purely about Catches. lol. Not results. And for all our previous TEs, if they were the 3rd best WR option, they didn't have 4th and 5th place who averaged 46 catches, 562 yards and 3.5 TDs (Horton and Brown). With all those TE we did not in any way have 5 deep for legit pass catching production like this past season....

No, you know what our recruits will see at TE? That we produced yet another TE and that every starting TE we've ever had has gone to the league. But sure you can go ahead and hate lol.

Because they all played in a Air raid offense and not a pro style offense 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes catches….Miami the #1 offense, no reason to not eat in it.

Just one example….Miami puts up 52 points….not a single catch

Lol and against Louisville we had two 100 yard WRs and Cam was 21/32 319 yards and 4 TDs... 5 of the completions were dumpoffs to RBs.

Maybe had we played any defense the game wouldn't have been close... Like what Horton should have had 1 catch instead of 3 and Arroyo should have had 2? Okay lol.

Oh and I added the avg Pass:Rush ratios for you, since you seem to think that the extra 3-5 pass plays a game are all the difference in our offense sucking for not utilizing Arroyo last year. Again, on LESS Catches, he had more yards lol. HE WAS OUR INTERMEDIATE-DEEP TARGET.

Daaaaamn..

The Sunday before Cantwell committed, people at UGA were positive they were landing the #1 QB, #1 OT, #1 TE and "at least" one of the top 2 RB (Hiter or Cooper).

They're about to strike out on all of em but the QB.

I've got all these U$C commits written in pencil ready to be erased during the season. If the Bowman OV cancellation is anything like the Pepe and Tofi cancellations, this one isn't over (I've got no intel here so no hot takes yet).

So the catches per game are more important than a second round draft pick?
Your whole response contradicts itself.
So a second round draft pick at tight end is bad for recruiting?
A second round draft pick while averaging 2.7 yards per catch is bad for recruiting?
A second round draft pick and the 5th tight end taken while not even being top 10 in production for his position is bad for recruiting?

We had a very well balanced offense and a lot of it was because dudes were unselfish.

Also, bring me the uga tears.

With more production he’s a 1st round pick, he’s a 2nd round pick because he’s a freak, not because Miami showcased his talent like he deserved

If he would’ve committed to us they would be saying must’ve gave him a massive nil deal with a condo and all you can handle breast and thighs on south beach

Based off feedback from Bowman after that game day visit, it really didn’t move the needle much. What did move the needle were the additions of tight ends coach Chad Savage, general manager Chad Bowden. Plus the USC NIL opportunity we’ve heard the Trojans offered Bowman is extremely large.

We haven’t gotten confirmation from any USC source or from Mark Bowman, but we’re told the NIL opportunity at USC could provide Bowman an opportunity to earn 8-10 million by the time he leaves USC after three years. We’ll just assume he’ll be gone at that point, based off how good Bowman is considered by the USC, Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss and other coaching staffs.

With how NIL works in 2025, several high-profile prep players are receiving NIL payments now. We’re hearing from sources of other schools pursuing Bowman, that he could receive a payment by the end of June and another when he signs. Just those payments alone would equal more than what most highly ranked skill position players currently earn in four years of college. Anyway, it’s a lot whether what we’re told is confirmed or not.

Very on par for USC to hire a couple Chad's

Man you’re gonna die on this cross huh? I admire the conviction.

I don’t have the energy for it, but have you considered including snaps played alongside catches? I honestly don’t know if it would show much one way or the other and I’m certain everyone has picked sides already, but it would go along with the other dude’s inclusion of run plays to pass plays ratio. I dig sports data, but this discussion also has a ton of nuance to it. There were also only 4 TEs selected before Arroyo.
