2027 DT George Toia transfered from Dallas, TX to Westminister Academy in FT Lauderdale. This is the type of young man UM'S recruiting specialist (Samoa Le Atua) was brought in to bring to UM before he left the program in June.

Toia has 2 brothers in the NFL currently and another brother at San Jose State.

George is an atheltic DT/NT that plays with great leveage and short area quickness. He has a high motor and very good strength. There were rumblings UM was working to flip 1 or 2 premiere DT'S committed elsewhere. Not to mention UM could use another Poly player.

I’d personally love it, but don’t think he is the body type we are looking for with our IDL unfortunately.

Yeah his move was surprising and still is tbh I wonder what the rationale was. Putting that aside, the production is too much to ignore.

I’m guessing one of the reasons he moved to Texas was to be with older brother who got drafted by the cowboys. He has another brother in the CFL who played at San Jose State, and one more brother who went to LSU, played as a freshman on the ‘19 championship team, then followed coach Aranda to Baylor before being drafted in the third round. 2x all-big 12.

He’s already out of the NFL, and plays for the UFL team in Dallas. This brother is the only one who didn’t go to school in California; he went to a school in Utah. This is on their uncle’s Wikipedia page lmao:

Maxpreps lists him with 15 tackles, 11TFL, 6 hurries, and 4 sacks. Their first game was a close loss and the second game was a curb stomping against much inferior opponent so I bet he didn’t play much (55-28 against Somerset).

They even gave him two carries which went for two yards lol. Not the first time either. Had a short touchdown last year and had 24 carries for 156 yards & 4 TDs as a sophomore.

The overall profile is extremely interesting considering he now has gone against California, Texas, Florida and other out of state competition.

Bingo

If you look at the type of NTs we've brought in, this kid doesn't fit the bill. Im definitely not knocking him but we seem to like our NT around 310 and very active (Moten). This seems to be Heathermens preference.

Id love to see a 330+ monster in the middle letting our LBs roam but you cant argue with Heathermens results

I don't think it's a rule. They just prefer guys that can move. If we can get a 330 lb kid that fits the bill, I think they'd do it. No idea if this kid can do that or even if we're involved.
 
We need this guy bad
With the high amount of 3 stars we been taking this year and last a good chance at least half end up jags at best
Need to keep stacking better talent yearly

High amount of 3 stars taken this year? Per the On3/Rivals composite team recruiting rankings, Miami has four 3-star recruits out of 21 total commits.

on the world tour....him being at westminser was sketchy in itself they are playing NOBODY!..DONT KNOW WHO PULLED THAT MOVE ...but maybe it was done for him to collect nil. But yea..they are ruling these guys like him inelgible in florida so maybe he was about to be n hit the road to a family member.

We werent recruiting him so it dont matter.

UM needs a solid 1 tech to add to the 2027 class, we need a DT with grown man strength in the class for depth like 2027 DT Karlos May.

Toia visited UM previously and camped at UM, but all this prep school hoping an other factor of key contacts in UM's recruiting department leaving have i am sure pushed Toia down the list.
