"He has quickly turned into one of the more promising wide receivers in the cycle," Ivins said. "He's verified at over 6-foot-5 and has gone 4.5 seconds on the lasers, which gives him one of the best size-speed combinations in the entire class, regardless of position. The flashes were there as a junior, but he wasn't exactly a high-volume target. However, the production has picked up as a senior, and it's easy to see what he could be in the coming years – an imposing outside target that can attack cushion and turn 50-50 balls into easy rebounds with his monster catch radius and body control."
As far as a player comparison goes, Ivins views Parris as a prospect who's in the mold of former Iowa State star and second-round NFL Draft pick Jayden Higgins, a Miami-Dade County native who flew under the radar as a multisport standout at Westminster Christian.
"The player comp for me has long been Jayden Higgins, who everyone missed on coming out of high school," Ivins said. "The size is nearly identical, and while Parris will be leveling up significantly in competition, the high school tape for Parris might be a little better."
Ivins is a big fan of the ****nal that the Hurricanes have acquired.
"For Miami, it's an eye-opening addition. The Hurricanes have had plenty of success courting veteran wide receivers in the transfer portal and struck gold with Malachi Toney, but in my opinion, they now have one of the top wide receiver tandems committed in Parris and Somourian Wingo," Ivins said.
