2026 WR Milan Parris commits to Miami

"He has quickly turned into one of the more promising wide receivers in the cycle," Ivins said. "He's verified at over 6-foot-5 and has gone 4.5 seconds on the lasers, which gives him one of the best size-speed combinations in the entire class, regardless of position. The flashes were there as a junior, but he wasn't exactly a high-volume target. However, the production has picked up as a senior, and it's easy to see what he could be in the coming years – an imposing outside target that can attack cushion and turn 50-50 balls into easy rebounds with his monster catch radius and body control."

As far as a player comparison goes, Ivins views Parris as a prospect who's in the mold of former Iowa State star and second-round NFL Draft pick Jayden Higgins, a Miami-Dade County native who flew under the radar as a multisport standout at Westminster Christian.

"The player comp for me has long been Jayden Higgins, who everyone missed on coming out of high school," Ivins said. "The size is nearly identical, and while Parris will be leveling up significantly in competition, the high school tape for Parris might be a little better."

Ivins is a big fan of the ****nal that the Hurricanes have acquired.
"For Miami, it's an eye-opening addition. The Hurricanes have had plenty of success courting veteran wide receivers in the transfer portal and struck gold with Malachi Toney, but in my opinion, they now have one of the top wide receiver tandems committed in Parris and Somourian Wingo," Ivins said.

The Hurricanes have made a splash in their 2026 recruiting efforts, landing a commitment from four-star WR Milan Parris.

An Ohio native, Parris was committed to Iowa State before decommitting in early October.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and just over 200 pounds, Parris has all the tools as an outside receiver, including a 4.5 40 time — impressive especially considering his size.

His stock exploded this fall, where he picked up a flurry of top offers which included the likes of the ’Canes.

In just eight games so far this season, he's racked up 38 receptions for 1,046 yards and 12 touchdown.s

Watching his film, Parris puts the tools to use — not just a player who has it all but nothing to show for it.

Whether its physical 50-50 balls or striding past opposing defensive backs, the Ohio native hunts down the ball like his life depends on it.

And speaking of, Parris blocks like his life depends on it — you don’t often see high-level wideouts including run block film in their highlight tapes.

The Hurricanes fought off challenges from the likes of Oregon and Oklahoma for the trending four-star prospect, able to seal the deal following his visit for the Stanford game.

Parris becomes Miami’s 24th commit in the 2026 class, joining a wideout room of Vance Spafford, Somourian Wingo and Tyran Evans — a room that continues to rise with strong senior film.

Is 27.5 yards per reception good?

Akron in the house! Any old heads in here remember a cat named Antonio Reynolds that signed with Coker back in 2002? He didn’t qualify and never played here, but he was the last kid from the AK that I recall being a UM prospect. Tony ended up at Tennessee after prep school, he was just ok there. This kid is the real deal, I can’t wait to see him catching them from Coleman in the future.

We have a **** load of Y receivers: Daniels, trader, Carr, Marion, Upshaw. I’d love to keep trader, upshaw, and Carr but all kids want PT.

Robison is likely an X but is always injured, sadly.
See that’s some of the ones I see us losing . I hope we keep trader and upshaw for sure . We have 4 WRs so far coming on and one is can play x who to me has some real speed ( spafford) we’ll lose Carr , Robinson for sure imo and prob couple others . I like the strategy . Keep loading up with talent

Spafford is a Y/slot and a great replacement for Johnson. The bigger question, do we land a 3rd with the assumption that Ray Ray isn’t the man and Spafford could potentially play Z/flanker.

We have 2 in the class that are X- evans and Parris.
1 Y- spafford
1 Z - Wingo

Potentially returning
X - Robinson, Moore
y- Toney, RayRay
Z- trader, Carr, upshaw
