C'mon fam. Our current players are lucky to make it to the NFL. The NFL Player starts over everyone. The NFL is hard. Damian Martinez can't make a NFL team and he was 1 ypc better than Fletcher. Excellent college players get cut from the NFL day after day.

We just need to keep in mind how difficult the NFL actually is

Alot of his low lights here were because of the structure of the defense. With heatherman i think he would be even better, remember he played corner here 2 years and got picked at 56th

Rique in Manny's defense vs Rique in Hetherman's defense is a great point and hadn't occurred to me. In my defense I never saw Tyrique as a CB coming out of High School. To me I saw a Safety all the way.

I'm fine with those takes. Do you remember the reasons he gave for not liking Lucas? I would be very interested in reading those.

Ive probably already spoken out of turn enough. Probably best to let him speak for himself on that subject because it definitely was a touchy one on the board. Not trying to swerve you on this either. Ill say this...and he can correct me if im wrong..he absolutely said that Antoine would take Lucas spot before the year was over. (prior to Antoine's alleged injury)

Personally, I like Lucas. But Memnon is the DB expert so I will defer to his expertise in that dept.

All good man. I agree. I always defer to @Memnon . Especially when it comes to DBs. I would guess that he might see Lucas as being too stiff to be consistently good in man coverage but that's just a guess. The Antoine take doesn't surprise me as I'm a huge fan of his and was very excited about what he could do this year prior to the injury that may or may not be an injury and if it was an injury, may or may not be season ending.

Personally, I also like Lucas while acknowledging that he has room for improvement. With the tremendous depth at the position and the coaching in place, I fully expect to see significant growth from him this season.

TrumpyCane likes @Memnon and respects him and his takes but you guys sometimes hang on to every word he says (not you), he himself has said he's been wrong at times and is a fan like most of us

Steveson starts in the NFL why wouldnt he start in college. I know some clown that never played or watch football said he sucks the bears or whatever even if he did. That doesnt matter. He has started the past 3 seasons. He isn't starting in YMCA, he is starting the NFL.

CIS thinks as long you can win titles as long as you have some X’ and 0’s guru @ HC..Even yalls New “GOAT” Cignetti had to bring in **** near an entire new team of older transfers with him and a Heisman QB to get it done..he wasn’t winning **** with the talent that was on the roster b4 he took that job..but yall expected Miami to beat the Bamas of the world with Corey Flagg as your best LB 😂😂
 
Just being fair to some the 2021 defensive guys, they weren’t playing under the current defensive staff. I’m sure guys like Stevenson and Kinchens would excel in Heatherman’s system. Not to mention, it’s a lot easier to play DB when you have a bunch of first rounders playing on the defensive line.
 
I’m not gonna lie, James Williams in this defense playing everywhere would be crazy! Say him and Pruitt in at the same time, one at striker and one at LB and they can both rotate anywhere with JW rotating at DE every so often and JJ Dun also in the game all the rest of them boys who can play striker and safety. We could play with all 11 on the line pre-snap and still cover deep 😂. No one would know who’s dropping. Lightfoot could drop, a DT could drop, Fitz dropping deep third and playing center field or striker and he can play corner. Straight position less football

Knowles did not put together an ok senior year. That's another myth created by this board or his fans. Similar to "Emory beat Clemson" or "Kirby beat FSU."

Back to your point about Hall. Yes, he was equally as bad.

Knowles was terrible here but out of the group of him, Amari Carter, Hall, Harris, Kacy Rodgers. Gun to my head I’ll take Knowles.
