2026 Special Teams

I couldn’t find this number, but that’s major. Davis excelled there. Hopefully he can develop as a field goal kicker with distance capabilities

FSU led the country last year in touchback percentage. 92.7% of their kickoffs were touchbacks, 63 out of 68. Someone else said the 5 that weren't touchbacks were onsides kicks. I know for sure 3 of them were against us, so it could very well be true.

Ironically, Miami was 2nd in the country in touchback percentage. 87.6%.

He didn't get many opportunities to kickoff in their last two seasons. Hahaha Semenholes.

Punt return was a weapon this year with 10 back there. He flipped games multiple times. Would like to see more of that 2 returner set to make them kick it to him more. I expect to see a lot more angle kicks OOB this year if Baby Jesus is returning again. I expect a touchdown or two

I agree with the two punt returner concept. Makes it harder to kick away from us and it increases the probability of a shank if they do. Also, we can design trick plays easier with two threats back deep.

Use C. Brown, Lofton and/or Gilbert for the second layer of blockers on punts. Maybe another speedy WR too whose name doesn't rhyme with pony.
