2026 2026 Ryan Miret OL/DL offered today

I wasn't comparing him to Conner Lew. I just used Lew as an example of looking bad in a camp setting as a junior in high school. You can't judge a kid off that alone. And of course Wise is a superior recruit to him. I wanted Wise more than just about anyone. He is basically a 5 star stud with a wrong star rating.
I definitely wasn’t judging him just off that clip, I’ve watched his game tape. I already had an opinion on him being a massive project

Two Macro points:

We want both, but know that Wise is more $EC country type kid and will be a difficult pull, plus we have depth at center and can be patient, as @Paranos noted.

Most importantly, OL is about the last area we should be worried about on the team.

Honestly these OL v DL one on ones are super hard to coach up and evaluate.

Without equipment the OL is at a huge disadvantage. Typically, you grab and push on shoulder pads as an OL meanwhile the DL, especially and interior d linemen, do not have that much freedom, and Dends don't have an inside pass rush move often.

You're just looking for willingness to compete, quick hands and hip flexibility.

Comparing this project to Connor Lew who was a 4 star prospect is insane

An Oregon commit that’s the #100 DL per on3

Grant Wise is a superior prospect than this kid
Connor Lew was definitely the superior prospect. But Connor Lew was also a 3 star on every single site except 247. Most centers are

Rough going for him
not to bad his base is too wide in his pass set which caused some resetting power issues.

This dese pass drills are geared toward the dl. A top priority recruit we had last class was getting his *** beat religiously and his rankings kept going up.

Max Buchanon did really well in pass pro last year. Cantwell an comp i heard were getting the work at the all star games it is what it is. He isnt going against poor lil timmys here in the clip atleast its agains tother 4 stary types.

He did ok.

Hes not a roadgrader i noticed that from his film fairly new to ol..but he is a center so it doesnt concern me. If he comnits here it would be 2 years before i even wanna hear his name.

As a cented prospect he is a solid prospect. We have Nino Brown and SJ on tap so he isnt a kid that wuld need to be rushed and should be cgeap nil wise with development base to build up.
He played dt mostly his first 2 years in highschool this year he took a huge step forward mirabal and Cristobal have been getting a lot of looks at him

Some of us want only the best to play at Miami, and others are ok with the past 20 years of mediocrity level talent it appears…
Bruh…. u realize that those “pass rush” drills are set up for the DL to win, right? It’s not realistic. All pass sets, No threat of a run, the DL got their ears pinned back, and can go either side, no help for the OL, and they don’t have pads on, which means, there’s nothing for an OL to grab. In that video, the youngin “held his own”. He won some, lost some, and had a few draws (which equates as a wins for the OL). Kids is not bad.
