It is shocking to me how bad transfer rankings have been.

We have literal game film on them in college, against college athletes. How do you eff this up every year.

I actually disagree. They’re pretty good considering they’re evaluating thousands of high school prospects who are playing every level imaginable of competition. Makes this all the more mystifying.

Maybe ive missed u discussing this and I apologize if so but tons of people out there saying there is no buyout in the contract and duke controls all his NIL earnings based on that 2 yr deal... tell me there's gotta be some logically way miami has already worked around all this where he can be paid and keep this from turning into a demond williams situation. Im trying not to get my hopes up too much just in case but hard not to lol

Let Duke’s collective have his NIL rights for this year — and pay him for it while he plays for Miami—then Miami can pay him a lump sum after the season (when his deal with Duke’s collective expires).

I hadn’t noticed the transfer thing until you guys pointed it out. Just went back and checked the top 30 quarterbacks for 2024 (Cam was fourth) and the list is pretty baffling in terms of order.

I think they are good at compiling the top 300 players but less so when it comes to the ordering. I think they are susceptible to hype and narrative a bit which is how Colin Hurley gets labeled as a prodigy. But in some less covered states like Mississippi and Alabama they’ve been pretty spotty.

It’s a hard task but which schools accept commitments/grant offers helps them reorder their rankings.

Still believe they miss on a ton of kids and don’t appreciate the senior year breakouts as they should. Thinking about Alberto Mendoza who had a fantastic senior year. But as far as large groupings go— the top 50 at each position is very well put together.

He is better than any qb that went in the portal this year and I’m not sure it’s particularly close.
