Without seeing a contract we have no idea what the damages clauses are for non-performance. additionally, I think this was discussed by Heitner recently re a similar situation and how to get out of it considering this is NOT an employment contract despite how dangerously close these NIL deals are perceived.

I'm of the opinion that we just pay the buyout because it's closing time at the bar and we're trying to get with the last hottie

The legal stuff is tricky. I do think Darren Heitner is Miami's outside counsel on NIL-related stuff, so I'm sure he's informed them of the NIL and legal ramifications.

Let's hope the threat of legal action and the contract language doesn't scare Mensah into staying put. It seemed to work on Demon Williams.
