There are a couple million reasons to come here. Just because ur a little butthurt doesn’t mean you stop making rational decisions.
 
I work with QB's of all ages in TX. 6 years old up to P4. I can not figure out for the life of me how the Emory Williams and Judd Anderson evals happened. Those guys would be lucky to get a G5 spot. Neither of them had anything on their HS tapes or resumes that justify being offered by the U. I understand frame, but holy **** man they are statues that aren't even elite throwers. You have to be at least a little mobile (Beck), but if you're not then you better be Brady-esque throwing the football and processing coverage. They are neither. Boggles my mind how they even got in.

He got closer, but he is not a 70+% passer. He finished at 68%; had 3 games below 60% and one at exactly 60%.

That being said, he would be much better than what we have on roster and almost certainly our best option at this point. Would be decent, not great IMO, but definitely enough to put us in position to win any game.

However, it just seems like he has no interest in coming here. Not sure if it's because he feels spurned/disrespected or what, but I have a hard time believing the staff hasn't at least kicked the tires with him or whoever is representing him. If they haven't, then that's a major indictment on this staff's process in my opinion

It’s not that gloomy. Players can announce they are entering the portal and the school has no reason to not complete the paperwork. Ask Wisconsin.

if it's true he's like 160lbs, that's not gonna cut it, I'm thinking DBOL, Test (Probably E or Prop), and potentially something else. I think we need our resident gear expert @JHallCanes to weigh in here. Would it be possible to get Dereon into non skeleton mode before the season starts?
