Oh I’d take him. Talk asap, and get a visit lined up. Give Bailey a crap ton and then a deadline. If not take him. It’s more abt I’m ****ed that we are here and we have stooped to this level instead of being proactive with Bailey from the get go.

I mean I still think they shop portal every year. Maybe just sign some better HS prospects so you’re not completely empty handed if you strike out like this year.

I agree. I think a lot of guys aren’t interested in leaving honestly. Imagine it was you. You’d be dragged via social media. Bag chaser, bad teammate, etc. Probably won’t look good on a pro scouting report all of that. In theory yes it should be easy. But in reality I think it’s harder than we think.

Pretty much every fail honestly comes down to the absolute lack of urgency in timing.

Like they just constantly move too slow, even when it’s so obvious how this could/would play out if you didn’t act with urgency.

I literally said before portal opened that I was concerned that the new changed schedule was gunna **** us given how reliant we have been with Spring portal. And combined with the CFP games, it was a perfect storm of ****ery.

But again I have no problem with them swinging for the top at QB first. I do have a problem with them having absolutely zero ability to bring other positions in for visits. But man they have to have backup options ready at QB. And no matter what it’s a complete failure that we haven’t already signed a QB2 type like Braden Atkinson
