The state of college QB play and talent, generally, is meh. Really, you’re paying for experience not necessarily significantly greater talent. There were no Cam Wards or even Carson Becks available this year.

But I was commenting on the process. Early on, swing for the fences. No bunt singles out the gates. 9th inning 1 out? Sure, THEN you take the sacrifice bunt to drive in a run.

I agree with you 90% of the time. Disagree here. The QB search has never looked process oriented. It looked like back-to-back Dave Kingman home runs where the expected outcome is 3 strike outs for every home run. We got lucky and called that a process.

As a Vermonter, I don't care for the Bernie slander! Along with wearing super stylish mittens, he also has a cannon for a right arm. The only reason Uncle Rico didn't win states is because Bernie was the opposing QB.

No he is not, but he has not signed anything with Arizona to my knowledge.

Yes he is small 5-10 190 but more than enough size for a college football QB.

He is very experienced:, played in 40 games with 33 career starts.

Highly productive • 9,183 passing yards • 73 passing TDs • 64.9%

In this offence he could damage.

If Cribby is saying Luke isn't ready, and we know Emory isn't any good, then we just have to trust the administration. Talented roster plus plenty of money, should be a solution. But time is running out.

If Fifita actually had a neck he'd be 6 ft tall.

Jokes aside he looked downright awful at time this year. But in fairness, Arizona and their coach are terrible. So it's hard to just him fairly.

Maybe Mateer considers jumping in. But.. Oklahoma just lost their backup QB to WV. If they lose Mateer, their QB room would look even worse than ours. So they'll pretty much have to pay Mateer whatever he wants.
