2026 Portal QBs

Interesting rankings when you only look at games vs top 40 teams.

Baileys goes way down when not playing weak teams. Like WAY down. 98th?!

I would expect a little drop, but down to 98th?
I’ve been saying this in every Bailey thread on this site. All of the performance data indicates he’s a can crusher and doesn’t just have “mediocre” games against good teams, he down right sucks against them. All I keep hearing is QBR, Comp % and “traits,” but he’s had over 20 starts and he’s been terrible, not bad or average, against anyone above top 50 in defense both years

Here’s another one for everyone else. People talking about his completion percentage. But do a little deeper dive and see what happens when you only include games against the Top 40… Ruh row, he falls down to 80th with 60% completion percentage.

There’s way too much smoke here for me to think it’s not him under center, but this is why you need to bring in more weapons to support him with.

you can have weapons all over the field; if he can't get the ball to them what does it matter? Or can't deciper the defense to make the decision?

I have never felt Dawson is a QB "developer". He seems like more of a play caller/ game planner. Maybe he can help refine some aspects of a more polished/experienced QB but what we've seen from Emory doesn't give me any confidence he can "develop" anyone. And who knows what Anderson is like or Nickel, so far.

Bailey needs development. At least in my opinion he does. Who is going to do that?

Put elite weapons around him like in high school and out talent teams is why I say that. He’s had serviceable weapons all throughout college so who knows what will happen.

But GREAT point on qb developer. GREAT point.

Let’s stop comparing people to Ward lol. There is nobody in college football right now even close to his skill level. Ward is the best Canes QB we’ve all seen in our lifetime
One of. Depends on how old you are
