2026 Portal QBs

Does anyone know who miami is realistically trying to pursue at QB in the portal?

It appears Leavitt is out, Sorsby is longshot, and there arent a lot of great options in the portal for QB this year.
Hoover would put up video game numbers in this system. Like it would be insane. Ik Indiana is in the mix, but Miami might be the better scheme fit and who wants to live in Bloomington. I’m not buying the Mestemeker and OK-state hype, so he’s an option. I think Becht would be really good here. Raiola is likely going to Oregon if Moore enters the draft. Bailey is a good option. I think Minchey is really intriguing, but that wouldn’t be a fan favorite in this board

It’s going to be Bailey. If there were bets being placed, the odds would be -1000 or greater.

Hoover is an interception machine. I think we'd pass.
We definitely aren’t passing on him. He is looking like the favorite for Indiana at the moment, so it might not matter. I think he’d put up huge numbers here

Yep. He committed to IU out of HS. Only issue with Hoover is he’s the opposite of mobile.

Bailey is not my #1 but he’s an excellent option.

I don’t have the receipts. But I have read posts and listened to podcasts of people who have worked with Bailey saying he has a high football IQ. Lance loves his progress and upside for example

As far as experience, he has equivalent experience to Cam before he transferred as the old PAC10 was roughly the same in quality as the ACC. Agree Beck has the most experience.
I'd like to listen to a podcast that says he has a high football IQ. haven't really heard that said. It's usually more about his running and arm ability.

Cam had been to two schools prior to coming to Miami. Saw more offensive and defensive schemes. He also seems to have had sollid private QB coaching. I personally just don't see any comparison to either Cam or Beck.

Are we spoiled with Cam and Beck? Yes, I'd agree with that. Prior to these two we wouldn't have had such high expectations.

But now that we have had them, it's tough to go backwards....
