2026 Portal QBs

FYI the season before transferring to UM potentially:
- Cam Ward 3700 yards 66.6% 25 TD 7 INT
- CJ Bailey 3100 yards 68.8% 25 TD 9 INT
that isn't the whole picture. CAm was very football savvy. High football IQ. Never heard anyone say that about Bailey.
And his experience is whatever ACC teams he played. IT's not comparable to either Cam or Beck.

So has anyone actually said that Bailey ‘doesn’t’ have a high football IQ? TF point are you trying to make here?

Dude can develop and coach offense with the best of them but let’s not pretend that his QB this year was from Ferris St
You mean the guy who is as old as Chris Rix who only had 19 total passing touchdowns?

I’m not saying he’s bad, but he’s not some dominant force and had ALOT of backing the last 2 years.

I guess what I’m saying is he will never win the big one. Offense’s are great no doubt.

Had no idea he was 23 until now - no wonder they want him back next year haha dude is going to be a doctoral candidate

Right. I’m not saying Lane is a bum. But this idea that he’s elite is not something I see.

Especially because he doesn’t value the trenches over high octane offense.

Trenches always win.

My thing with Lane is he’s going to have $25m and a real talent base to keep the middle of the roster stacked. I’m a big Lane fan and you handed him a ☢️ football with that programs financial backing lol

Bailey is not my #1 but he’s an excellent option.

I don’t have the receipts. But I have read posts and listened to podcasts of people who have worked with Bailey saying he has a high football IQ. Lance loves his progress and upside for example

As far as experience, he has equivalent experience to Cam before he transferred as the old PAC10 was roughly the same in quality as the ACC. Agree Beck has the most experience.

He SHOULD do better. But how many did Saban win with LSU? And is Lane on the same tier as him?

I know there are some differences there, but he’s a toxic coach going to a place that just got rid of a toxic coach.

I think he's going to struggle to live up to the standards they have. And when that happens he will bail like he always does.

Again, just my opinion. I could be wrong and will admit if I am. But I’d be shocked if he ever wins anything.
