2026 Portal QBs

Plus if we get Bailey, Jeremiah Smith is a cane lock

Serious note: I like the idea of having a guy with multiple years of eligibility.
I wouldn’t choose a QB for that sole reason but 2027 is setting up to be an insane roster of home grown talent and returning starters and we always portal well, so a qb locked up is promising

3.). People only watch highlight videos and not full games
With the way people talk in here, they act as if they watched the full all-22 of Nebraska, Cincinnati, Florida, and NC State. It is hilarious how certain people in here are about who is the best transfer QB. Apparently, nobody is better at evaluating QBs than CIS.

D$ mentioned this on the Sunday pod but I’m resigned to the belief that Bailey may make the most sense and is the cleanest and most logical fit.

At a baseline, you’re making a lateral move from Beck (11th in QBR to 13th) and the biggest question I have is whether the two outlier performances (@ND and @Miami) were an indictment of the talent around him as opposed to solely on him. @Lance Roffers is a HUGE Bailey guy so I’ll differ to him on that.

As it stands, Sorsby is likely headed to Texas Tech and Leavitt’s Lisfranc injury gives me pause as far as throwing big NIL at him. I don’t think Lagway or Raiola are better options than Bailey.
I like Bailey a lot--especially his physical attributes and tools--but for me it is hard to get past those performances against ND and UM. I know his OL is terrible. However, I saw him in person at ND, and my observation (for what little it is worth) is that those (very) poor performances were indicative of processing/speed of game/decision-making issues. I do not think those are easily correctable and question his ability to perform well against quality defenses.
