2026 Pitching Rotation Discussion

I think part of it is building up the confidence for Melendez and getting Robert back. If we can get those 2 rolling I believe we can get this pen to be decent at best.
I think Menendez being worked up into a starter still isn't out of the question (I'd prefer if he stays in the pen to have that backend velo)

True, if you do move Menendez into a rotation role (he was assured he'd get a chance for a weekend role), you can put Collera into bullpen role where he can give velo as well.

Not saying it's what I'd do (I'd leave Menendez and Robert in pen and have them twice a week impacting games).

Yeah we're on the same page here, need as many impact arms in that pen and Collera has settled in well to his starting role

I won’t rule out the mid week and building him up that way. Maybe the answer is giving Ciscar high leverage innings the rest of the year with him returning to the rotation next year.
