Glidewell is first up as midweek starter against UCF

D1 baseball had him ranked as 47th best transfer arm

So we have to believe when Florida weekend comes up it will be Ciscar , Evans and Derias on the weekend . Does Collera become mid week guy or a late inning high leverage guy ? The pen looks like Bilka , Cooney , Coats , Dorn , Durso and Fernandez ( Not sure why he didn’t get in Tuesday or Wednesday) Santos / Glidewell Midweek - Long relief …. Anyone have an update on Drummond , Lodgek or Peralta ?? I understand when Robert and Menendez come back the difference it will make but having to double up on week day games in Feb is a little concerning .. 5 - 0 is a great start and need to keep it rolling and once we get settled into 4 game weeks it will work it self out but was wondering ….. TY

I would expect to see all of those freshman this week. It also wouldn’t surprise me to see Lonzo Drummond start one of the Saturday games

I think the starters, middle relief and the back end of the bullpen will be a rubik's cube until mid-April.
There are freshmen that will get better once they get acclimated to high level D1 play and compete for innings.
I think the Sunday starter spot will be a revolving door.... I am not sold on DeRias as a guy who can give us 5-6 innings consistently.
Once Menendez and Robert come back how much can they give us? Two innings each a week? Which I would gladly take.
Remember once ACC play begins you have a roster limit of 26 or 27.
There will be a lot of competition to make those 11-12 spots.
This weekend will give a lot of guys to show what they got. I want to see guys like Dorn, Durso, Drummond, Coats pitch 2-4 innings at a time and define a role for themselves.
I'm excited for the next two weeks and see how the staff comes together.

I thought it was 34?

The ACC and post season only allow 26-27.
So we’re entering a time where schools are going to have 30+ full ride scholarship players who get to play non conference but as soon as ACC play starts they get cut?

That doesn’t make any sense what so ever unless even more cuts will start taking place pre season

Can you show this somewhere officially? This seems way too dumb to be true. The ncaa is capable of a lot of stupid things so I won’t put it past them but saying teams can go to 34 for 3 weeks then cut 20% of their team seems out of this world.
