Omaha isnt jammed into one weekend. These teams that get hot and beat better teams in a weekend doesn’t usually translate. Teams get off days to rest arms.

I liked watching St Peters beat multiple blue bloods (Kentucky and Purdue). That was a **** good team and a joy to watch. You forget that same day we got blown out by Kansas even worse, and the next our underdog program made the final four for the first time ever along side notable programs like SDSU and FAU.

You've missed the transition in college baseball. #30 can beat #1 any time they want, and does it quite often. Did you forget that the only top 8 seeds to make Omaha last year were 3, 6, and 8? And that only #6 made the finals?

We're well past this being some fluky, scrappy teams pulling off a couple of upsets. These teams are every bit as good as the top teams, and they are showing it again this year.

Baseball is the No. 2 sport behind only Football at a quite a few of these Sun Belt type programs in the South.

We would have beaten St Peters by 20+.
The E8 run was good basketball. Also we took the hardest road to the final four and the only game that was even in question was Drake? Nothing lucky about those.

Again, baseball is not like anyone else. You don’t run out the same 5 or 22. The most important position on the field changes every day.

Kentucky and Purdue also thought they would beat St Peter’s by 20. I agree though, we should take the top 16 based on analytics and send them to Omaha.

Troy, LR, Milwaukee, St Johns and Cal Poly are not top 30. Poly is the only one close I’m assuming they’re 32.

I have no problem with top 50 teams. I don’t enjoy teams ranked 100+ winning regionals and having no chance of winning it all.

I never said they didn’t earn it or that the format was wrong. Actually I believe it’s the perfect format.

All I said was I like watching top teams play top teams more than I do less talented vs less talented or less talented vs top team.

Your stance makes a ton of sense in situations like the CFP this past year where there was no reason for JMU AND Tulane to be in. But in this instance, if those teams are so much better that they have a chance to do something the others don’t, maybe win 1 of 2 against those inferior teams instead of getting smoked twice on your home diamond.
