A lot of Florida kids are in the Top 100.
A lot of Florida kids are in the Top 100.
Jaxx Richardson
Willie Burnett
Marcis Ponder
Florida is well represented, but these 3 guys stock have made significant climbs in the most recent ESPN rankings. Happy to see Jaxx at #6, but somewhat surprised he's the highest ranked prospect out of Florida in the 2026 class. I mentioned Willie last week after watching him play in Virginia. I expected him to climb the rankings but didn't think he'd go that high. Also, happy to see Marcis Ponder finally crack the ESPN rankings at #75. Still has a ways to go in his development, but just off his toughness and motor don't see how he didn't end up in the top 50. I haven't seen 5 big men better than him.
Not likely but some legacies break the chain all the time.Great point about Jaxon Richardson. I think he is a good player and I don't want the next statement taken the wrong way. I think he is benefitting from the success of Jase Richardson in the second half of the Michigan State season along with his current draft evaluation.
They shouldn't be related but the media is driving that narrative.
I think Jaxon is one of the best 10 players in Florida and I think he is a lock to go to Michigan State.
He is very fundamentally sound but not close to the athlete his father was on the basketball court.
I think Miami should recruit him but personally, I would expect them to spend the majority of their recruiting efforts on Toni Bryant, Caleb Gaskins, Alex Constanza, Marcis Ponder, Colin Paul, Steve Thomas, Willie Burnett and Elijah Williams (JL3).
No disrespect to Jaxon Richardson but it is hard for me to believe that his father and brother went to Michigan State then became 1st round draft pick that he will not follow in the family path.
I could be wrong but the writing on the wall says he is going to Michigan State.
I wonder if he will drop to a 4recruit when he commits to Miami.
wasn’t sure where to put this, but Prolific Prep moving down to SFla.
