2026 Men's Basketball Recruiting

Don’t worry I’m sure we can match any amount SMU would give him

I don't think it is about money with every recruit and commit. In y, I don't think Kelvin Sampson and Houston has a huge NIL budget.
It's still about finding the right players who play hard, for your system and want to go to your school.
Houston only signed 1 kid from the transfer portal while the rest of the roster is built from high school recruiting.
That is a sustainable model I want to see duplicated at Miami.

That success wasn't built because of NIL.

Not sure how Toni will be visiting Raleigh tomorrow, because he's currently playing in a tournament with his travel team in Richmond, VA. Games continue tomorrow. Toni looked good in the 2 games I watched today.
I know Jai loves Toni, but shouldn't we focus on these guys more as the class?

Caleb Gaskins (columbus)
Alex Constanza (westminister)
Jaxon Richardson (columbus)

No question Bryant, Gaskins and Constanza should be high priority guys right now for Miami's staff. There are a number of other guys Miami should also be on, even if it's as a back up plan. The state of Florida's 2026 class is as deep as any that I can remember. Without exaggerating there are roughly 15-18 kids that could potentially end up being ranked as top 100 players nationally.

As far as Richardson is concerned, I'd recruit him. However, Richardson could very well end up at Michigan State like his dad and brother before him. With that being said, there were whispers going around during the season that his parents weren't too happy how Jase was being used. I'm not sure if their feelings changed after his breakout play in the post season.

I'm up in Virginia right now and Willie Burnett is another kid worth keeping an eye on as well. ESPN currently has him in their top 50 for the 2026 class. Kid is a big time scorer.

I was wondering that also. Not unless he is going to visit the campus on Monday but I think he has school this week.
It's a 2 hour trip from Richmond, VA to Raleigh, NC.

I agree with you on Caleb Gaskins and Alex Constanza. Both should be in the recruiting class.
I would also add Tony Perkins along with Marcus Pinder (West Oaks) to the list.
Pinder is the best big in the State of FL easily.
Willie Burnett (West Oaks), Collin Paul (Calvary Christian) and Kevin Thomas (Sagemont) are also on the list.
Burnett is the best scorer of the group easily.
I am 100% sure Jaxson Richardson is going to Michigan State. I don't see a need to recruit him hard.
I can see Jai taking a 5 man recruiting class in 2026.
