Well yea of course but I mean wasted time, resources, etc…we do the same **** every year. Sign top 10 kids only to have them go pro(understandably)

I know baseball NIL isn’t as big a deal for high-end baseball kids, but I think the right thing as a program is to have the perception that if it wasn’t for a life changing opportunity in MLB, those kids would be at Miami.

I’ve read that the MLB wants to restructure their draft process to be more like the NHL. If that happens, being a place kids want to play in perceptually helps to start.

Can the coaching here sustain it? No, they suck.

I truly think, and another prominent coach locally also thinks the same. We should offer this man, Gio Rojas, 2 million per year to come to Miami. It would be a record-breaking deal for a college player, but he is worth the money, and he would be the Friday night guy at Miami right now.

I watched Lombard yesterday take a legit Coral Reef pitcher committed to Princeton and throws 92 take a first pitch fastball of the game that was purposely thrown outside the strike zone (outside corner) based on the catcher setting up on the inner white line of the left handed hitters batters box, over the fence in right field (325 FT) easily and a line drive.

Just like his older brother, he’s amazing going opposite field with power and ease. 2 out of the 12 scouts there said, ok, I we are outta here and left 😂😂

He went 1-3 in the game with a fly out and strikeout vs the Coral Reef pitcher.

Everything Jacob does, however, seems easy and smooth. Just an amazing talent and super fast. I believe he’s a 6.1 kid, which is unbelievable. Soccer helped with that for sure.
