You guys do know it’s not 1991 anymore right, where the same 4 starting DL play all game and in almost every situation right? Kid probably won’t be asked to be an every down player, stand up pass rush specialist. The spread has changed everything about football, especially defense and how players are used in situations. Like the pick up.

this is a key point. Elite teams have at least 10-12 guys who can rotate and play different roles and number of snaps depending on their size and specialty.

Back in 1991, IIRC, it was basically three ends UM used (Medaeris, Patric and Krein) and inside it was Eric Miller, Anthony Hamlet and Mark Caeser for the most part getting most of the snaps
