The vibes at A&M have really turned south quickly. Going to get interesting if they end up with a really bad season.

With a sudden swiftness. Elko is also basically admitting to the fans calling for a backup that they don’t have one good enough to overtake Reed. I was skeptical they’d replace a multi-year starter heading into his fifth season next year; however, depending on how ugly this gets they may have to.

It really has. Just goes to show it doesn’t matter what’s on your roster , if you don’t have a QB, your *** out.

A&M is also having a complex because Texas may finally be getting right, and TT is spending big and catching up.

That is main reason after 20 years in the desert we actually have fans who dont want to be portal QB in perpetuity.. We have the right formula for this new era of CFB.. We would be fools to stop doing that unless we have a Keelon Russell type.. Which we have in future recruits.. IDK if they on roster yet..

I said this in the Elk Error thread, i dont think most realize how even their talk host and homers are completely LAWST and doing the lords work of flooding the algorithm with how much they suck and it is over.. Its been beautiful to see, they are seriously insure on what will happen with Arkansas and expect the season to be absolutely terrible.
 
kinda ****es me off Oregon never gets the scrutiny of relying on transfer quarterbacks however that’s neither here nor there.

Akii Smith Jr will have a decision to make pretty soon. Their 2026 quarterback signee, Bryson Beaver, transferred to UGA two weeks after enrolling because Raiola + his little brother (who switched positions to TE) transferred in. Raiola is going to start next year. He looks to be one and done, but Smith could end up like Austin Mack if he waits to see if he can win a qb battle with Will Mencl (presuming Raiola doesn’t return for his 5th year of eligibility or Oregon doesn’t hit the portal for a starter again).

Oregon’s 2023 and 2024 QB signees transferred to Bowling Green and New Mexico respectively.
