Been tryna tell em, the plays are being made.. Choke out conference, cancel all OOC games, silo conference with 9 conference games, rank all SEC teams so they are good losses, never rank ACC teams so even wins are against cupcakes and then keep out of B1G/SEC invitational..

I gotta see how they weaponize it but partially it looks like they could be using it as friendly fire now that i see the tweet the on3 report is based on. For example, under this logic, could Texas have made it in over Texas A&M last year?



Apart from that, still haven’t read anything that suggests conference record against one each other will be considered, which without that factor, it’s a pointless metric considering the ACC is up 4-1 on the B1G this year.

Yep
The loser of the ACC ship can enter that game with 1 loss and they’ll get the BYU treatment. I think the writing is on the wall with some of these SEC teams and they are getting their narrative ready to let the 9 win squads in.
 


Idk of a good place to post this and I’m not starting a thread because I know what that will turn into. But, interesting.

FOS: College Football Playoff expansion, where are you on that and does it feel like a 24-team playoff is inevitable?
GB: I sure feel like it’s headed towards 24 [teams]. I do think that we have to be very sensitive to making sure the regular season continues to have the value that it does. Now, one of the things I’m really happy about that [SEC commissioner] Greg Sankey has been leading the charge on is that if we expand to 24, everybody has to play 10 Power Four games during the season.
It is ridiculous that some are playing that many and some aren’t, and the teams that are playing 10 should be heavily rewarded for doing so. But I also think that 24 is a lot of teams.
