It is. But with the Gator and Mullins both returning as top 20 picks, its not out of the question he will return to school.

And if so, man...Tounde would complete this team and make us one of the most physically imposing teams in America

We would although I’m not sure we have the cash flow for dude. Anyways, longtime until he has to make a decision so we’ll monitor his stock for now
 
I just really don’t understand how more programs aren’t after this dude. Wish we were.

He played 16 min a game last year. We only have two guards right now. Even if he wasn’t a starter, he’d play 20-25 min a game here

If Billy Donovan doesn’t get an nba job, he’ll be their number one target.

Otherwise, I do think Jai will be in contention for the UK job. Scott Drew would be interested too

No; not the type of coach they were after.

The difference between the jobs is that Jai already has familiarity in Lexington by working there; additionally there wasn’t a — what I have to call — mass movement by their fans to bring Jai Lucas to chapel hill while their current coach was on the hot seat

Remember how with every Canes football coaching search in the past 20 years, there was always a contingent that immediately said either Lane Kiffin or Mike Leach? And they would stump extra hard for either of those guys and immediately be disappointed we didn't get them (or even interview to them)?

That's the copium that UK fans are doing right now with Jai. I think UK ends up bouncing back and being good enough next season for Pope to keep his job and we won't have to worry about it, tbh. They can just watch as we keep doing big things with Jai at the helm (hopefully).
