2026-27 Men's Basketball Transfer Portal

So now that a lot of our portal targets (at least the ones that publicly have been mentioned) are committed or we are out on, what is our big board looking like? Any names to throw out there.

And just my own two cents, dunk Joesph who committed to Dayton, I would love to see us look at him next season.

Names will emerge. A week ago no one was talking about DeSean Goode.

Here's where good scouting and luck are needed.

I'd also still look hard at Euro players even though Altuntas and Timo were disappointments.
Yea we will. We have a good scouting presence over there. I forgive taking a flyer on those guys because Jai literally walked in with a blank roster.

Sure, no one blames Lucas.

Sometimes foreign players adapt quickly, to the new culture and on the court. Sometimes that's harder, and less successful. A risk that's well worth taking though.

Tommy Lloyd has been doing it forever at Gonzaga and now Arizona. Rick Pitino is gonna have a roster heavy with foreign players at St. Johns this season. Not to mention the NBA Draft every year.

We did well with a couple guys over the years. Coach L had a shooter (I forget his name) and Waardenberg turned into a nice player. I know I'm forgetting a few.
