More than our reported $10 million+ 'budget'?
Idk what our budget is in real terms or in relation to others; because Pete said Cyril and Lewis took less money to go to UMiami.

However, Coach Cal had Cyril committed to him before leaving to Arkansas, and Arkansas thought they were going to land him before Miami reportedly ‘big bank take little bank,’ their way into winning that recruitment. How true is all is, i don’t know.

I do know that Louisville has to be paying plenty for flory to not even take a duke visit and for them to be after Goode and the Iowa PF at the same time; as well as competing with Duke for John Blackwell. So i definitely know they have more than us.

Idk where that fan heard the rumor about Jai Lucas’ dad being cool with Goode’s agent but i do believe we really did offer him less money than Louisville. Pete also said miami would love to have Matt able however the money he has had thrown at him makes it difficult for us to even be in the conversation for him.

I’d wager that Kentucky, IU, Louisville, Duke, and UNC have the most money to allocate year in and year out on their rosters. I’m sure Michigan, Arizona, Kansas, Texas Tech, UCLA, and Tennessee are not far behind. St. John’s, Mizzou, BYU, USC, Auburn, us, Arkansas, and Texas gotta be up there too. Probably varies year to year. Like this year there is no way USC’s roster is paying out similar to last year’s.

Portal closes tomorrow.

Any rotation quality players are we still in the mix for?
That's been reported? No. We need another guard who can hit a spot up shooter and a big that can eat up minutes off the bench. I'd expect we'll go the Euro route for a player or two as well once again despite the results last season

Based on what’s being reported/linked to us it would be great to get timo back.

Unless I'm mistaked the portal closes for entering tomorrow. There are still a ton of guys in it and they can committ and enroll anytime depending on school schedules. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct. This will go on for a bit.

Miami has Interest is an understatement.

Kid played a ton of minutes in the SEC as a freshman, and while I'm not sure he'd get 27+ min per game here, there's no reason to believe he wouldn't have a prominent role off the bench. Could see him as a small ball 5 five given his length.

Why anyone is enamored with Timo idk.

Against ACC competition:

Overall FG% .275
3 pt FG% .234
FT % .583
Rebounds Less than one per game
He has height and there is shooting ability if he can put it together. But I don't think Jai is in a hurry to bring him back.
