2026-27 Men's Basketball Transfer Portal

I think were looking a net upgrade over Udeh. Offensively and shot blocking wise, think Somto has an edge.

Rebounding is the question mark, maybe that wont be as good as Udeh did.

Still, great pickup to start.

Lonnie Walker was a more highly regarded recruit than Brown or Huell.

Was Huell really a 5 star, or more like Earl Timberlake (on the cusp)? I think Brown and Walker were seen as being at a different level.

Lonnie Walker single handed lost that game against Loyola.
 

Several schools have been linked to Kansas' Bryson Tiller since he entered the transfer portal including Michigan, Miami, Georgia Tech, Missouri, NC State and more.

Since the commitment of Estrella to Michigan, the Wolverines sound like they could now be on the outside looking in on Tiller.

The Atlanta native is expected to lock in official visits soon.

The Brown injury put more pressure on him. If Brown doesn't get hurt then Miami wins a few more games at the end of the year and get a better seed. I still think if Miami beats Loyola that year they make a run to the elite 8 maybe even final four. They for sure beat Tenn, Nevada, and K State.
 


Personally, I prefer Somto Cyril over Flory Budinga.
Same player for probably a million less which allows Miami to get another good player with that $1M.
 
I like who we’re going to get yet it’s a big stretch to call them the same player. Flory had 23, 10 and 3 blocks when Kansas beat Arizona, a final four team, without Darryn Peterson.

Skill wise and role wise, same player.
The game you mentioned and as you pointed out, he was the focal point of the offense without Peterson.
I think if Cyril was the primary option, he would put up the same numbers.
Plus, playing with a high volume shooter like Peterson gave Bidunga a lot more rebounding and put back opportunities.
I understand your point of view, you want to see it to believe it.
 


Miami involved with Bangot Dak makes a lot of sense.
Dak gives Miami depth at the 4 and could reduce the minutes of Altuntas.

No, i don’t believe skill and role wise they are the same at all. Flory additionally was not the focal point of their offense that game—Melvin Council was
