I think Vernon Jennings did it over a couple seasons in the late 90s/early 2000s. Not much of a shooter or scorer himself, he made the most of his distributing skills.

He had a lot of good options to pass the ball to -- Johnny Hemsley, Mario Bland, Tim James, Elton Tyler, John Salmons, and James Jones.

We won 23 games in both 1998-99 and 1999-00. Tied for the Big East Championship in the latter (made the Sweet Sixteen).

Thomas Hocker averaged 5.1 assists in 1989-90
Michael Gardner averaged 5.7 in 1992-1993
Kevin Norris averaged 4.9 in 1996-97 and 1997-98
Vernon Jennings averaged 5.6 in 1998-99
Vernon Jennings averaged 6.8 in 1999-2000
John Salmons averaged 6.1 in 2001-2002
Tre Donaldson averaged 5.7 in 2025-26

Larkin, Angel and a couple of others were around 4.4-4.6

Doesn’t always mean a school has been chosen but there’s likely a short list
Yup. So i just watched his tape. This guy is more athletic than Udeh (not a dig at all to Udeh) and I believe has longer wingspan. Hes simply dominant as a rim runner and a better shot blocker than Udeh. More developed than Udeh at this point in their careers, however we did get Udeh a year older.

Long story short, sign me tf up for this dude. Him and Acaden on the PnR would be nasty.

My projection as of now:

PG: Lewis/Robinson
SG: Able/Allen
SF: Shelton/Gaskins/Timo
PF: Gaskins/Carey
C: Cyril/Carey

Idk if its possible, but i would like to bring in a 4 who can stretch the court and have Gaskins as the first forward off the bench.

From your watching Cyril's tape, what does he offer on offense? Range, post moves, passing, etc.
