Those numbers are crazy. Especially since we are talking about guys who aren't 20-10 guys nor projected lottery picks.
A lot of schools are wasting a lot of money.

This isn’t the NBA, tho. Only one player in the country averaged 20 and 10: Cameron Boozer. 35 guys averaged 9 RPB or more & the former five star from Kansas is one of them.

He is worth what teams can afford to pay them and there is a shortage of talented bigs at all four levels: youth, HS, college, and pro; and in college, they retain the most value.

The reason Duke is about to pay Flory is because they need an answer to whoever the next Tarris Reed is.

Those leaked asking prices are likely inflated however Flory is a 7 figure player and Fru will be making at least 750k next year.

SIAP-

Najai Hines entered the portal. I don’t know his full story but interesting…

Was getting a lot of attention as a 3->4 star Tight End in football recruiting as a sophomore in North Carolina. Was 6’8 250. That spring he grew 2 inches. That summer he moved back to Jersey (from North Carolina) and was picked up by NY Rens and turned heads at Peach Jam. Went from not being a prospect to a top 50 2026 in basketball. Then Seton Hall got him to reclassify and he played this season. An absolute unit of a beast. IMO one of the most physical big man in college basketball, runs the floor really well, rebounds well, and averages 2.2 blocks a game only playing 18 minutes a game. The physicality did lead to foul trouble a lot but the kid is a raw talent that is probably worth a look. Word is he’s grown another inch as well
