2025 roster vs 2024 roster

Pete kept on harping on body types and looks. I think both he and D$ are right. I don't believe body types applies to every position. Look at the 2001 Miami team - you think that DL had the body types?

6-4. 250 (Williams)
6-1, 260 (JMac)
6-5, 275 (Walters)
6-5, 290 (Jospeh)

How about a 5-11 Vilma? How about sub 6' safeties? etc. etc.

Does Lofton have the right body type?

I think the body types does apply to certain positions, though. OL and DT are the classic body type positions. Everywhere else (for the most part, it's not as relevant).

I don't subscribe to the notion of being "bigger, faster, stronger" because that's the case EVERY year. What I do think is relevant is our DL and DB availability this year. DB is infinitely better than lst year. DL is a big ??? given the unproven nature of Scott, Moten, Blount, Bryant, Blay. That's 5 guys on the 2 deep that are mostly unproven. A lot to be excited about but manage your expectations. Same goes for WR.
The point I was trying to make and the point @DMoney made yesterday is the body types on our Dline are better this year then last year. Every one of our D tackles is over 300 pounds and we have one of the biggest and best D end rooms in the country. The body types are better on the dline this year versus last and that’s a fact. On that @Peter Ariz was dead wrong!
