That’s why I put Could. I’m not nearly as high on Hugus as most. I’d take him after the 10th and see if you can’t add a few mph and get a righty high leverage late inning guy

Coastal coaching staff would toy with us. But at this point if we just somehow went 2-2 in any regional thank would be a monumental success.

This is the reasoning behind his draft stock, except that it’s to a much greater degree.

He already has the rpm’s and has the 95 plus if he was used in a relief role TODAY

Add 3 mph to that and you have an elite setup man with the development of his off speed pitches and that’s why scouts have a top 3 round grade on him actually

2-2 would get the team a parade in downtown Coral Gables.
RPI is 39 tonight. We can't fall much further to get a bid.
Do you start Ciscar in the first game? Hugus has gotten rocked the last three starts.

I’d slide Cuvet up to 2 as well. Time to try anything.

You are more connected to this than I am so I have no reason not to believe you. It’s just surprising for me to read he has a top 3 round grade

Yeah your reasoning was completely on point like to a t.
It’s just that those rpms behind the scenes are so much higher than we see can see during the game hence why he’s so rated.
i’m pretty confident in a 3-5 round grade but wouldn’t be surprised if he slides a little
 
Didn’t think the RPI would actually sink into the 40s, but we’re currently sitting at 41st. That game we won last Friday night probably was the difference between making and missing the tournament for both us and Notre Dame.

It’s remarkable how similar we ended up to the last time we tried to patch with transfers.

2017 Canes 31-27 (16-13 ACC) RPI 40
2025 Canes 31-24 (15-14 ACC) RPI 41*
