2025 NCAA Selection noon ESPN2

Why am I not surprised NCAA will do all they can to keep UF from going to Tally for the regional. I haven’t seen a single projection having them there. Doesn’t the ncaa say they want to keep teams closer to home for their regional if possible?

Flip it and let UF host while Miami is a 2 or 3 seed, we know 100% of the time they send us to Gainesville.

Both FSU and UF ADs are on the committee I believe. Both were last year and you could see the favorable road that both got. It pays to have them on the committee. As for us, well…I’d assume the worst. West Virginia would be nice.

WV would be nice, but count on us being sent to Hog Town, LSU or Austin. If we get a Coral Gables regional you can bet UF will be the 3 seed here.

D1 Baseball's recent projection makes no sense, e.g. Duke and Kentucky get a softer regional than 2 seed Miami, with much worse RPIs.

I thought the Committee was going away from the proximity nonsense. I get not sending SEC/ACC teams to the west coast (although it didn't keep them from sending pre-season #1 AZ to Coral Gables the year we were the #1 overall seed), but why send a 2 seed w a solid RPI to a top 5 seed. Last I checked, Morgantown/WV, Auburn, Conway/SC and Knoxville/TN are all about the same distance from Miami as Baton Rouge.

Let's win last 2 series, host and beat UF or whoever they send our way.
 
What an amazing turn around by the Canes. Never saw it coming to the point that these conversations are even being entertained.

Much respect to coach JD (amazing person but not a fan of his as a Head Coach) and of course, the team. Jake Ogden and Cuvet leading this team and it’s great to see.

At one point over the weekend they were +3000 to win the CWS, and I’m not gonna lie….that’s tempting.

Honestly with this team....I dont think anything is favorable.

But I do think this team would respond better as a low 3 seed. Like last 4 in.

Yes and no; while I don’t have an issue with where we sit as a two, and that ranking is favorable, the threes’ distribution is not favorable in my opinion.

Five to six 3 seeds arguable better matchups for us as a two (and Auburn as a 1) and only ≈ two of those ‘regionally disqualified’

Super conferences make it have to occur that way however, to bring the middle ground back into perspective.
