Interesting that nobody on the board radically refutes this myself included and I hope I'm wrong. I don't think they're lucky I just think they're getting Great abs from one through six. Where I struggle with that means what if they go six and 0 ACC play and they finished up for how do you wrestle that with the top 20 RPI do they host or not? Because we all know this Back half was a lot easier

I’m just tired of losing regionals. When’s the last time they made it out of one? 2016?

Unfortunately I dont think they could have waited any longer to get hot or the season would have ended up in the ******* anyway. Would have been too little, too late.

But yeah, hard to see them not cooling off some right around post season play

Eh. I'm usually one of the more positive people here, but the baseball program is repulsive. People have a right to cry and be miserable. I can make a VERY valid argument that this is one of the 5 best baseball programs in America over the last 40 years. I can NOT make that claim about the football program. But baseball, this is a preeminent program, period.

From 1974 to 2008, we went to Omaha TWENTY-THREE times. 23 appearances in 35 seasons.

Since 2009, we have went to Omaha TWICE. 2 appearances in 16 seasons.

We haven't won a national championship since 2001.
WE HAVEN'T WON A REGIONAL SINCE 2016!

From 1978 to 2016, a span of 38 seasons, the longest we went without winning a regional was 4 seasons, and that only happened once (2011 thru 2014).

It has now been EIGHT seasons since Miami won a regional.

People have a right to be ****ed and negative. We hired a coach who had ZERO qualifications for the job. Not a single one. And through 1.5 seasons, it was a complete, unmitigated disaster. Literally the bottom floor of **** results. The last couple weeks, much better, obviously. But we have a long way to go. This is the first sign of life this program has shown in literally years. Let's see how it ends up in a month or so. But saying people are cry babies for not being happy about what they're seeing from a preeminent baseball program is absurd.

We went to regionals for 44 straight seasons, the all-time record, and since that streak was broken in 2017, we have played 8 seasons and missed even making it into a ******* regional 4 times. 44 in a row, and then 4 out of the next 8. That's pathetic. And literally 2 weeks ago, we were seemingly a lock to do it AGAIN.

They haven’t won a regional since 2016. So yea I think we have a right to cry. This is a program that should win regionals year after year.

Expectations and standards for Canes baseball have fallen drastically. We must have an influx of younger guys on this board who really don’t understand the standard here and haven’t seen what this program is capable of under competent leadership.

Me personably, happy for the players for turning it around but this little winning steak against some decent teams doesn’t impress me much. That’s what this program SHOULD be doing.

Have we forgotten how **** easy it is for this program to be competing for Omaha every **** year if it wanted to?

We haven’t won a regional since 2016 (!!) yet we should be doing victory laps since we’ll be a 2 or 3 seed somewhere.

But 5 weeks ago this team was left for dead


Let’s see where we end up and have some fun in the process

Same...I'm happy for the kids. I hope they keep it rolling. But if we do make it to a regional and go 1-2 its really the same old story. You could almost say it was an OK team with a nice win streak. Now if we end up a 3 seed but lose to the 1 on Sunday or something. I'd say thats positive for the program. But I am just still very weary of development as a whole. We have some really good Fr and some really legit guys likely making it to campus next year.

I'm glad we turned it around because it was definitely trending right at the prediction I made. I'm thrilled to be wrong. But we have 2 huge weekends, a very important non conference and acc playoffs. Hoping we do enough to at worst get one of the high 2 seeds.

Thank you for this but those who are negative are labeled as fake fans. Good for them for winning some games, that’s what they are supposed to do. Win a regional and yea I’ll tip my hat to the program.
