Feel pretty good about my bracket I made earlier, especially with the main outlets kind of agreeing with me now.Well I just made a quick bracket taking account for 29 autobids and the remaining hosts, In my opinion Miami is in. Started to have discussions of Miami being better than certain teams around close to the 60th team which would get us in even with Virginia, UCONN, etc getting in
Both teams would walk over us in a 3 game series.Feel pretty good about my bracket I made earlier, especially with the main outlets kind of agreeing with me now.
What scares me is Kentucky and UCONN
For UCONN, they simply beat us and have a similar rpi
For Kentucky, they are basically the SEC version of Miami: 2 big series wins, similar quad 1 and rpi, but we all know “it just means more”

Bottom line is we went 1-6 in our last seven games against not exactly stellar competition.
Why put the fans through another embarrassing weekend. Everyone has a breaking point...
Greater chance of JD being back next season than us getting selected.I don’t think we’re in
Tennessee is garbage once you get past their top 2 arms. Someone will upset them in their regional unless they can just out mash them.Pray for Oxford. Nashville, Knoxville, or Baton Rouge is a death sentence. Texas hasn’t been playing well, but they’ll have a tough 2 seed in either UTSA or DBU. Don’t want that either.
That was a great weekend in Oxford.I was at the 2006 Oxford Super Regional where we beat that ***, it was a good atmosphere
Agreed, and add on west virginia as the two seed that becomes one of the few regionals I can see a path in.Tennessee is garbage once you get past their top 2 arms. Someone will upset them in their regional unless they can just out mash them.
They’ll be out-pitched beyond game 2 by nearly anyone, including Miami.
Those first 2 games, want nothing to do with them.
That performance in a hostile environment seems like a lifetime ago at this point for Canes baseball. It was fun to watch though ... and dream. That was a great weekend in Oxford.
I've never been hotter in my life than that weekend experiencing Mississippi HEAT.
Well Miami would be playing them in game 2, after they threw their 3/bullpen game. They aren’t wasting 1 or 2 on a #4 seed. So yes beating them is gonna be nearly impossible when you can’t out-pitch or out-hit them. Not to mention WVU is no slouch.Tennessee is garbage once you get past their top 2 arms. Someone will upset them in their regional unless they can just out mash them.
