2025 MLB Draft

So we easily can match it with NIL, but would we?
Easily? Don't know the specifics but I would say the high end of that draft money is 50% or more of the total NIL on the full team ($1.5M was my guess) and the low end is probably more than what Cuvet is making. Maybe I'm wrong there but I doubt we're touching that for Hugus. He doesn't really have the frame and projectability to go any higher than the 3rd. He's not going to change and progress enough to make any sense on returning unless he thinks he can bump his velo consistently up 2-3mph and make it last for 6 innings at a time.

Not sure how Rev Share will factor into those numbers.

That’s insane how little Cuvet is making, he deserves so much more. The team store needs to sell Jerseys of his and other merchandise

Is there any college baseball program that brings in really good money for the athletic program/school?? Unless a diehard donor wants to make baseball his/her personal project, sadly just don't see this changing much... I'm assuming FB and Bball are the bell ringers just because of the money they make..

and playing our games on the ACC+X aint gonna cut it......

Texas Tech paid their softball pitcher $1 million last year, and she’s getting a raise for next year

Updated and expanded MLB.com Top 200
154 Piasentin (-10)
164 Hugus (-14)
197 Dubovik (NR in the 150, -100 from initial Top 100)

Antonio Jimenez is 167th as a draft eligible sophomore.
So, a shot at getting both Dubovik and Magana to campus? And is Walters committed to signing, since you mentioned he was honored on Senior night?

Both are in the range that usually gets to campus, unless they either have a very low number or a team really loves them.

As far as Walters, it’s usually an indicator that a player has signaled they don’t intend to return. Given age and his injury struggles, it’s time for Walters to get going in pro ball.

A few years ago there was 8ish school that profited off of baseball. Almost all were SEC schools with stadiums that sell out 8-15k fans every weekend. But no nobody was bringing in “really good money.”

I’m shocked that Dubovik and Magana didn’t get invited.

That’s crazy. I thought JD was hired bc he had the backing of big money donors?
