I hope we beat the dog **** out of ND
The GAYTORS as well. Send a message around this MF’ER.I hope we beat the dog **** out of ND
Indeed, good take, these cucks are still smarting over their failure to rig the NIL. So they want to rig the playoff system. If they can keep the SEC/Big10 schools front and center in the playoffs and media, the draw for top players to get that extra exposure could negate or offset any difference in NIL money. Getting to play an extra game or two in massive prime time games for draftable players is a huge incentive. And, could stem the tide of big time players entering the portal. Money doesn’t always talk, when this kinda Bull**** walks. Just sayin’.The "just win" crowd isn't seeing the proverbial forest. Yes of course just win, always, all the time. The issue is when there are half a dozen teams annually that don't "just win" but still have playoff aspirations. When they're all 11-2/10-3 and get bounced by a de facto Big2 team just because.
When you have to work 3x harder for the same result, you can't "just win."
They had openly said that losing a CCG should not be factored into losing a playoff spot to a non CG team. The CFP had no obligation to select SMU last year and could have easily added another SEC or BIG team. But they selected SMU.
Much better having a committee, as apolitical as possible in the process, selecting at-large teams than guaranteeing spots. The CFP had no obligation to select SMU last year and could have easily added another SEC or BIG team. But they selected SMU.
I like your idea, but I think it has to be top 64 at least. At 36, you are removing about half of the current P4 teams out there. Why not just make it the SEC-Football Playoff? CFP is a joke and legit needs the new commissioner of NIL to actually be the Commissioner of the CFP.
I don’t have the right answer but I can tell you that half the country wouldn’t watch if 6 or 7 teams from the SEC make the CFP - I certainly wouldn’t watch it.
Take the top 36 programs (ultra subjective, I know) in College Football, stick them in 4 divisions based on region as best you can, and call it the NCAA Power 4. Everyone else left out competes in college football D-1A playoff style football similar to D2 and D3.
I’ll take a stab at it: (as best I could it’s based on a map of the USA)

Of course. That's why they want it focused on "strength of schedule".....They probably want more than just 4.
They probably want more than just 4.
So any team that MADE a conference championship game automatically got a bid to the CFP? Iowa State played us in the Pop Tart bowl so that’s definitely not true. They had openly said that losing a CCG should not be factored into losing a playoff spot to a non CG team.
If they had passed over SMU, the ACC and Big 12 could have immediately canceled the 2025 CG’s.
No. Iowa St wasn’t in the Top 12 prior to the CCG.So any team that MADE a conference championship game automatically got a bid to the CFP? Iowa State played us in the Pop Tart bowl so that’s definitely not true.
