Looking at their schedule it looks like they lost to every out of conference major including Notre Dame.

Pitino’s teams at SJU are a lot like U of Houston. Both are really well coached defensive teams, and both have prolonged offensive slumps.
And neither team wants top play in the 70’s. Which is why I don’t think that type of team can win big in the NCAA tournament.
In March/April, teams need to be able to win high scoring and low scoring games to win it all.

Big loss for Michigan. But also an interesting case study into Florida basketball talent. Former FAU commit followed his coach to Michigan when Dusty May was hired. Dude was going to be a starter for them next year; we’ll see how he recovers now.
