2025-26 CBB Season

They're the best team in CBB right now.

But the thing with the Cats is that they always start off the season Red-hot & then come tourney time end up falling short.

Hopefully, this year they can finally make the F4, otherwise Tommy Lloyd's gotta reevaluate what he's doing in March & April.
Arizona seems never to be even a decent 3 point shooting team. And they aren't again this year. Lloyd has made recruiting of big, skilled, tough Euros his bread and butter.

Danny Hurley's remarks after the game:

"We got punked. It's going to be a bad film session coming out of here. There's a street fight going on in the paint and, you know, men can't watch fights. You can't stand on the outside when your buddies are in a fight. You get in the fight. You don't stand on the periphery of the fight. We'll see a lot of clips where guys were not in the fight with their teammates."

Dan Hurley would probably say that even if they won.

He's probably the angriest Coach in America on any given night.

He's been upfront about his mental issues but "angry" is the word, for sure, to describe him. A latter day Bob Knight.

Only a matter of time until he crashes and burns I'm afraid.

His brother Bobby, at ASU, is an interesting contrast. Bobby has won zilch out in the Desert, despite having the resources.

Pretty solid game set for today:

New Mexico vs Nebraska
Memphis vs Purdue
Pacific vs FAU
Pitt vs UCF
Wake Forest vs Texas Tech
Mississippi ST vs Kansas ST
Troy vs USC
Saint Joe's vs UNLV
Arizona ST vs Hawaii

Interested to see how Jakus is developing the Scott Drew system at FAU & if he can keep them being a viable program after Dusty May.

Also tracking how Eric Olen has New Mexico looking being this his first time Coaching at the D1 level & they were a good team under Rich Pitino.

Really looking forward to seeing Wake vs Texas Tech.

Grant McCasland, another Scott Drew disciple that has done really well thus far in his career. He had TTech knocking on the door of the F4 last year.
