ECU almost lost to Elizabeth City State University (yes its a real college).

Are you buying Purdue this year? It feels like Smith has been in college for 8 years, and it seems like he’s great in the regular season but doesn’t reach the same level in the post season.
I think they finish in the top 2-3 on the Big Ten but i don’t trust a Matt Painter team in the tourney.

I’ll tell you a funny story. When UM was in the Final 4 in Houston, I stayed at the same hotel as the coaches. I was with a Purdue coach who said that when Painter showed up to the hotel (after their 1st round loss as a 1 seed), before Painter could even get out of his car, Jim Boeheim ran up to the door and said, “Matt, run a 2-3 zone. It works”.

I think they'll make the Sweet 16.

But Houston, TTech, Louisville, Arizona, UCONN, Duke & Gonzaga are my early top 7 best.

Purdue is a smart battle tested veteran team, with very good Guard play from Fletcher Loyer & Braden Smith, but Oscar Cluff is no Zach Edey. They also have very little depth off the bench. They've had close games with Oakland & Bama. Their matchups next month with Iowa ST & Marquette will show a lot of what kinda team they'll be this year.

We'll see how they handle Iowa ST's high volume shooting Offense.
