2025-26 CBB Season

Some great games today:

Gonzaga vs Creighton
Ohio vs Saint Mary's
Memphis vs Ole Miss
Texas Tech vs Illinois
Dayton vs Cincinnati

The ACC has some big matchups:
FSU vs UF
Wake Forest vs Michigan
Kentucky vs Louisville

And while I don't believe in conference pride in Football, in Basketball it's a different story IMO. You want your conference to be good & have good teams, so I'm hoping the ACC can pull off 3-0 tonight, although I'd be surprised if anybody other than Louisville won.

Also sidebar; but Maryland really screwed themselves by leaving, they have no business being in the B1G. They simply don't belong. They're an ACC team at heart & ever since they left they have been on an island lost as sea. I believe they made that move for their Football program, but lost sight of the fact that they're a Basketball school above all.

Whatever money they get from the B1G has not been worth it.
As long as Louisville wins, about as good of night the ACC could’ve hoped for.. realistically. A top 12 matchup win and two one score losses in true road games against top ten teams

UF definitely starting slow this season. We may be playing them at the perfect time.
I’m just going to say what my eyes see. Florida does not look like a legit program this year from a talent perspective. They may turn out to be fantastic like everyone thinks they will be but when you turn on the tape and watch what they trot out there, it sure as **** does not look like the defending national champs. I personally don’t know what the **** they were thinking in off-season but what do I know.

They look like a mid major team and I really struggle to see how they are going to have success in sec this season.

I can’t wait for Sunday.

They has GREAT senior guard play last season. I personally thought Walter Clayton was the best PG in last year’s draft, and both of their wings are playing in the NBA. Even with the portal, that is a lot to replace, not to mention that all of those guys were transfers as well.

They will be good as Golden is a very good coach, but not unbeatable. This could be a very fun game.

I agree. Through 2 games I’ve watched I would describe their talent level as one of the good creighton teams over the years. I’m shocked at their lack of athleticism in the rotation. SHOCKED

Haugh, Condon, Handlogten and Chinyelu are all still handfuls down low and where I expect them to do the most damage when we face them on Sunday.

The bigger issue is that they don't have the depth of shot creation/shot making that they had last year with Clayton, Richard and Martin all off to the NBA and Aberdeen now at Kentucky. It's really just Fland and Lee, who are both shooting sub 21% from three so far.

Definitely their bigs are legit. And were impactful last year, but more so as complimentary pieces to the guards/wings you named.

The funny thing about this is that Fland was considered a defensive-first player at Arkansas, though he could score as well. But now the UF and national people seem to think he’s a #1 or 2 option. He’s a very good player, but his trademark is defense, not shooting. I think the expectations for Fland at UF are unreasonable.

All the better for us.
