6’5 220lbs 3-star TE out of Ashburn VA, goes to Independence HS
Dual sport athlete that plays both Football & Basketball, originally started out at Loudoun County HS in Leesburg.
Is a tall athletic receiver that plays outside Flanker WR but projects as a TE on the next level. Has good hands plucking the ball out of the air & wide catch radius, also does a good job high-pointing the ball & using his Basketball athleticism to go & up get it. Has very good speed for a projected TE being clocked at an unofficial 4.6 & to the eye test looks in the range. Lengthy athletic frame who once put in the S&C program can be a kid that gets up to 235-245 in college & be an effective receiving TE that can be a 3rd down chain mover & Red Zone threat.
Is also a good route runner getting depth with his long stride running gait eating up cushion covering lots of yardage with his angular route breaks; is a smooth fluid runner.
He originally committed to Vanderbilt back in April & then recently decommitted from Vandy back on May 4th, which is when Miami offered him. But has also received a lot more attention being recruited by UNC as well & is apparently down to Miami & UNC as his top 2. Hasn’t scheduled any OV’s as of yet (his visit yesterday was an UV) but is leaning towards announcing his commitment next month.
