Just wanted to compare the stats between the two lines. I also wanna mention that last years FSU D line is better then this years FSU D line which isn't bad either.

2023 Miami Hurricanes OL gave up 2 sacks (DeLoach on both of them)
2024 Miami Hurricanes OL gave up 4 sacks (Darrell Jackson with 2 sacks, Joseph, Graham Jr.)

2023 Miami Hurricanes OL had Miami rushing 34 carries for 131 yards, 4.8 yds per carry
2024 Miami Hurricanes OL had Miami rushing 40 carries for 230 yards, 5.5 yds per carry

I have to rewatch the game but did the sacks come through the same spot in the OL? I know Frances gave up one of the them for sure - very unlike him. But I don't remember the others.

I noticed Rivers was wearing a neckroll last night, too.... Hope he is still healthy going forward

I know one time Francis had two guys come and he didn’t touch either, Carpenter had a similar situation.

I'm curious about that one too. I know one was right up the middle, I believe that was the first sack that was given up.

He's been wearing that since he returned. I was a little surprised when i saw it last week.

I believe both times they sent 7 guys. One of those sacks was on fletch/carpenter believe. The one up the middle, Fletcher missed the chip block

Got to give credit to Jackson on that one. McCoy got beat so bad, looks like Fletcher saw that and shifted towards Jackson. Middle now wide open for their linebacker blitzing. I think Carpenter knows Fletcher back there to pick up the blitz, but Fletch is out of position. Or, maybe not. Maybe it was just awful effort by Carpenter as well.

2 sacks were miscommunication.

1 sack was a penalty DJ hands to face of McCoy drove him back, noncall.

1 sack DJ pushed pocket.

That hands to the face really ****ed me off. He basically grabbed his facemask and walked him into the quarterback. Of course there was no flag.

I hate complaining about refs but this type stuff combined with no holding calls for our d line and the weak *** opi calls are getting out of hand.

Sad thing is that was on back to back plays. Very early in the game, I wanna say 1st quarter
On the first sack Fletcher also did not do a good job of picking up the free rusher. That is about the first time I can remember a RB not making that block this season.

No idea what Cici was doing. You always pick up the inside rusher unless the line call accounts for him. For Cici not to have picked up either rusher is very odd.

Honestly the worst game for the Oline in my eyes… my only guess is that carpenter was worried about the other backer and Fletcher had the other?
No he’s responsible for the right A gap as this is half slide protection. This is the backs fault.
