6’2 170lbs 3-star CB out of Coral Springs, he goes to 3A Chaminade Madonna

He was originally at Boca Raton, then Stoneman Douglas & now will finish HS at Nade.

Finished his Junior season last year with 17tcks 13PBU’s & 4INT’s.

He’s a long armed raw athletic Corner with good ball skills.

@1:00 he does a really good job playing the Boundary in Press man coverage, he comes out of his stance with good foot spacing & immediately flips his hips while reading the WR, gets into phase & does a great job walling off the WR using the sideline as the extra defender & tracking the ball down while getting his head around to get the PBU.

@1:18 does a another really nice job reading his man on outside release vs leverage, with skating feet out of his stance & staying patience & not overstepping against initial route fakes, he never takes his eyes off the WR to defend against the end zone fade route, he does good face-guarding & getting in between the WR & the ball playing through the hands of the WR. The only thing he didn’t do was get his head around, but otherwise played textbook coverage to get the PBU.

@3:00 what he shows repeatedly on his tape is the ability to quickly read & react to the WR, especially in press man coverage vs outside release, he always does a good job with route recognition & immediately flipping his hips to get out vs the WR’s breaks. His transitional footwork into phase is very good for a first time CB & most importantly he ets his head around & finds the ball.

He’s a converted WR with ideal arm length & good ball skills, plus quick transitional footwork in press man & good natural instincts. He’s a raw tall bodied corner, but has good upside. He’s not a track star blazer, but has good football speed, is quicker than fast, projects to be a nice Boundary CB at the next level.

Comes from good stock, Dad played at Cincinnati & Uncle played at Michigan & in the NFL.

Is an under the radar prospect that’s been blowing up with offers lately, UGA recently offered & they have the early lead on him as of now because recently hired DB coach Fran Brown was recruiting him pretty heavy at Rutgers & has since offered him at UGA.

@DMoney first posted on him in this thread https://www.canesinsight.com/threads/my-early-tri-county-top-40.176317/post-5769476

He’s a kid that Miami hasn’t offered yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we did. It may be a situation where he’s high on UGA now, but towards the end of the year they may not have room in their class, so just put feelers out to gauge interest & keep tabs on him.

Holds offers from UGA, Arkansas, Kentucky, Penn ST, Boston College, Indiana, Iowa ST, Rutgers, Maryland, Duke, Wake Forest, UCF, USF, FAU & Temple

Nice find @Liberty City El and @DMoney Not surprised he is blowing up and secured a UGA offer. Wonder why we haven’t offered him yet. Hopefully Addae is keeping tabs on him.
Likely because he was at Douglas and were not going to watch much of their games looking at their kids much or the kids they play against (the worst talent int he county)

He is at Chaminade now so the ofers will come more abundantly

I love his ball tracking give him a year to put on weight and bully kids off the line while also refining technique he can be a 1st rounder with his speed and ball skills

Thank you for your service.

Cincinnati traded Perry Eliano to Oh ST for Kerry Coombs, but they’ve done a really good job with CB development.

They also just got commits from 4-star Safety Daeh McCullough & 3-star CB Jonas Duclona from Naples. They signed 4-star CB/S JQ Hardaway from GA/AL last year & signed 4 other CB’s in their class.

Plus they’ve done a good job recruiting FL recently signing 8 prospects from FL since 2020, with 3 already in their 23 class.

This is a good pick up for them.

Kerry Coombs isn’t a slouch either as a recruiter and developer.

I hope this isnt a "James Wiggins" type mistake here. Where we are trying to out-smart the room. Kid isnt a plug and play type but it seems like hes got some potential. Im hoping this is a scenario where Mario and Addae want to evaluate him a little more going into his Sr year.

Cincy is recruiting rather good this go round... aDD TO IT THEY CAN BE A SOLID TRANSFER PORTAL DESTINATION FOR OSU kids that arent playing....they gonna be kicking up dust for awhile.
**** yeah fam, Cincy is primed to make a power move. For 100+ years, O$U has been the only big-time CFB program in a traditionally strong football state. If you were a blue-chip Ohio kid, it was either Suckeyes or Bye-bye. Cincy is becoming something that Ohio St. never thought they'd have, legit in-state competition.

Also think of their location. Smack dab in the Midwest but across the river from Kentucky. The local grounds have talent and it's not too far from a lot of places. They're setting themselves up to be a player in the P5 arena...
